Dawn of the Way

Confucius once sought wisdom from the elder master. Lao Tzu told him that rites and rules are like worn shoesβ€”they once served, but they may no longer fit the living foot. He urged him to cultivate simplicity and humility. Confucius left astonished, saying he had seen a dragonβ€”one who rises on the wind and clouds.

The dragon speaks often through water, yet carries every element in harmony. Water teaches us to yield, fire to transform, earth to endure, wind to move unseen, and the pearl to remember the mystery from which they all arise. Water is Lao Tzu's favorite teacher, but harmony is his true element.
